Last night at 6:55 pm, the Cambria CSD Fire Department responded to a report of a high speed vehicle accident on Hwy 1, near Ardath Drive in Cambria. Units on scene reported a vehicle off the roadway and into a tree, with major damage. The occupant of the vehicle had self-extricated themself and began to walk South on Hwy 1. SLO County Sheriffs Department caught up with the occupant and they were assessed by the ambulance crew. The Cambria CSD Fire crew secured the vehicle to ensure that it did not start a wildland fire or pose any additional hazards, while it waited to be towed away.
Cambria CSD Fire Department would like to remind everyone to always drive the speed limit or a safe speed that is favorable due to weather and roadway conditions.
