7/31/2024 Letter from the General Manager & Fire Chief

Dear Cambrians,

On behalf of the Cambria Community Services District Fire Department, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the City of Paso Robles Fire Department for their invaluable support during a critical time.

Recently, our primary fire engines required urgent mechanical repairs, which momentarily impacted our ability to respond swiftly to emergencies in Cambria and surrounding areas. Understanding the urgency of the situation, Paso Robles Fire Department graciously lent us a fire engine, ensuring that our firefighting capabilities remained steadfast and uninterrupted.

Their generosity and quick response exemplify the spirit of unity that defines our firefighting community. In times of need, neighboring departments like ours come together seamlessly, reinforcing the bonds of camaraderie and mutual support that are essential in our line of work.

Thanks to their assistance, we were able to maintain our high standards of service and continue safeguarding the lives and properties of our community members. Their gesture not only helped us mitigate the challenges posed by the temporary loss of our engines but also strengthened the collaborative spirit that defines our profession.

To the City of Paso Robles Fire Department: Please accept our heartfelt thanks once again for your unwavering support and solidarity. We look forward to continuing our shared commitment to protecting and serving our communities, knowing that we can rely on each other in times of need.

Sincerely,

Matthew McElhenie & Michael Burkey
