Cambria is under an active flood warning with the heaviest precipitation amounts happening until 1:00 pm today. The SLO County Public Works water pump on Main Street automatically kicked on at 4:00 am and is being manned by a member of the County Public Works team. So far, the pump is keeping up and Main Street has not flooded at this time.
There has been some localized flooding behind the Vets Hall, near the Lions Club in Cambria. The Santa Rosa Creek is quickly rising and the water is moving extremely fast. Please stay away from the creek banks. Currently the water is approximately 9 feet from the bottom of the bridge at Windsor Blvd. Windsor Blvd remains open at this time.
Your Cambria CSD Fire Deartment remains up staffed with additional personnel, ready to respond and mitigate any and all weather related emergencies in Cambria. Stay safe Cambria, we will get through this weather event safely together!
