Last year’s fuel reduction work on Rancho Marino resulted in the accumulation of approximately 450 piles of vegetation slated for burning. With rain in the forecast for tomorrow, the burning process will begin.

An expert team, supported by CAL FIRE and the Cambria Fire Department, will conduct the burns cautiously, starting small and assessing progress. If conditions remain favorable, additional pile burning is planned for next week during the next anticipated rainfall.
