On July 30, 2023 at 12:30 pm, the Cambria CSD Fire Department deployed our Water Tender fire apparatus to assist multiple agencies with fighting a vegetation fire on Highway 58 and Shell Creek Rd. Our water tender carries over 1,800 gallons of water to the front lines of a fire and operates as a mobile fire hydrant. The countywide mutual-aid agreements ensure that an adequate amount of resources can be shared countywide, so that all jurisdictions have the support necessary to protect their local jurisdiction.
The last update on this fire was that it is approximately 85 acres and nearly 50 percent contained. Cambria CSD Fire Department is proud to serve and protect Cambria, as well as step up and help our neighboring agencies when called upon.
